FAQs:
Q How many sessions are required ?
A Multiple treatments are needed (between 6 and 12 ) because only the hair in the active growth phase – the Anagen phase – can be affected by the laser. Time is needed for hairs in the Catagen and Telogen phases to move into the Anagen phase. Effective results require treatments spread evenly and consistently, from four to eight weeks, depending on the area. After you have completed your initial course of 6 treatments, if you require additional sessions they are charged at half price
Q: How old do I have to be to have laser hair removal ?
A: We only treat clients 18 years or older, this is because hormonal changes before this age may mean that your hair will still come back even after treatment.
Q: Can I have laser hair removal if I’m breastfeeding?
A: You can have laser hair removal whilst breastfeeding, the only area we don’t advise treatment on is around the nipple area, however all other body areas are fine to treat.
Q: Can I have laser hair removal if I’m pregnant?
A: If you are pregnant, we cannot treat you for laser hair removal. This is because of the lack of information about the effect on the fetus, and yours and your baby’s safety is our key concern.

A: If you have keloid scars, or a predisposition to keloid scarring, we would assess the areas to be treated on a case by case basis. Q: Does laser hair removal hurt?
A: Our Diode lasers have a chilled applicator and we also use a cooling gel to keep discomfort to a minimum., you will get an idea of how the treatment feels during the initial test patch. If you are used to waxing, laser hair removal is often described as less painful.
Q: Can I have laser hair removal after receiving treatment for cancer?
A: If it is under a year since you have been all clear, you cannot have laser hair removal. If you have been clear for one to three years, you will need a letter from your specialist. Unfortunately, if you have had any lymph nodes removed from under your arms or breasts, you can’t have laser hair removal under your arms, even if you are all clear.
Q: How is laser hair removal different from other treatments?

Producing impressive results, laser hair removal is one of our most sought-after treatments.
Pre treatment Advice:
> For laser hair removal to be effective, the hair needs to be present in the follicle. This means waxing, threading and tweezing must be avoided before the treatment. You’ll also need to avoid bleaching your hair as the laser needs pigmented follicles to target.
> You can shave in between treatments but remember that the treated hair will start to fall out of its own accord 1-2 weeks after your first treatment.
> Do not bleach your hair as there’s no pigment in bleached hair for the laser to target.
> If your skin has been exposed to the sun within 4 weeks before your treatment, let your practitioner know prior to your treatment.
> We can’t treat anyone with a tan – real or fake. If you’re tanned, please contact your clinic at least 48 hours prior to your next appointment to seek advice on how you should proceed.
> You must stop any acid based products such as Retinol, Glycolic and Salicylic at least 1-2 weeks before each treatment.
> If you have been prescribed or are taking any new medications or herbal supplements, or if anything medically changes let your practitioner know prior to your treatment.
