WHY DO I HAVE REDNESS?

Many of us experience red flushes every now and then, but for one in ten people in the UK, persistent redness on the face is a problem. If you are experiencing redness, but also other symptoms, such as spots, visible blood vessels and dry and thickened skin, you could be suffering from a skin condition called Rosacea.

Symptoms include redness, flushing, hardening of the skin, spots, a stinging or burning sensation and the appearance of red broken blood vessels. Severe symptoms might include dry, sore eyes and a thickening of the skin, particularly around the nose. Most suffers report flare-ups, with symptoms worsening and reoccurring over time.

Rosacea affects more women than men, typically in their 30s to 50s; however symptoms can begin to show from early 20s. It is primarily seen on the nose, cheeks, forehead and chin, as well as the neck and chest and is often mistaken for acne, eczema or some other skin allergy. Left untreated, symptoms will worsen, so early action is advised. Sadly, there is currently no cure, only treatment. But treatments have evolved considerably over recent years, allowing sufferers of Rosacea to enjoy clearer, smoother, stress-free skin.

At Weston Beauty Clinic we offer the most advanced technology and treatments on the market to target redness and Rosacea. We offer a consultation with a medical practitioner and a highly personalised plan for clear skin.

TREATMENT FOR REDNESS

To choose the best plan for you for noticeable results, we highly recommend you attend a, no obligation consultation. During your consultation your medical practitioner might discuss:

SPECIALIST CLINICAL PRODUCTS

In conjunction with leading chemists in Europe and the US, our research and development team has formulated proven, patented products to be topically applied to the skin for the treatment of redness. We can also guide on other products in the market to soothe your skin.

MEDICAL GRADE PEELS

Whilst Glycolic Acid skin peels are not suitable for all people suffering from Redness, they can be used on some to help remove the dead skin cells that aggravate this condition. Your doctor will advise on this further in your consultation.

LASER THERAPY

For patients with visible blood vessels, Laser Therapy can be used to shrink them. The treatment uses brief pulses of light energy, which target only the blood vessel, leaving your surrounding skin unharmed. You may experience some bruising or swelling after treatment, but this should subside within 72 hours. Our clients often see a visible reduction in unwanted redness by as much as 75 per cent with one to three treatments and the results are permanent.
